About Donna Bahorich

Donna Bahorich has been an integral part of my Senate staff for 5 years serving as my district director. She was key in developing a strong relationship between our office and the education community in our district. She is conservative, hard working, and smart. She shares my view that the more open government is, and the more informed the public is, the better government we will have. She will be an effective leader on the S.B.O.E. who will help shape the future of education in Texas. I'm proud to endorse Donna and ask my fellow conservatives to join me and vote for Donna Bahorich for the State Board of Education, district 6.

Upon entering the political arena I have found Donna Bahorich to be a tireless and well informed conservative advocate for our community and the great state of Texas.

I have known and worked with Donna for 6 years in her position as District Director for Senator Dan Patrick. I have the highest respect for her. Donna has a passion for education, is professional and personable, and is a strong collaborator and communicator. I fully support Donna and am grateful that she’s willing to serve on the SBOE.

I am truly excited that Donna is running for State of Texas School Board. She is a clear conservative, with family values, pro-life and a proven record of innovation in getting all tasks done at a level that sets her above most. She has always been there to help and never liked the limelight. She does what she does because she believes in honest government. She does things because she believes in good government. I believe that Terri has done an excellent job, and I am sure Donna will surpass even her record.

Her work with Senator Patrick, a true champion of both public ed and higher ed, gives Donna a unique perspective on the challenges we face in the district and across the state regarding public education. In addition, Donna's commitment and support of our party's platform plus her understanding of the need for education reform, including financing, are other reasons for my support.

Donna will bring her conservative values, deep knowledge, and warm personality to the State Board of Education. The Board, schools, parents, teachers, and the community at-large can be confident that Donna will make decisions based on Texas values.

What can I say about Donna that has not been said before? She is indeed a Conservative who is always volunteering and working while smiling. She is always very knowledgeable about the issues and facts. She has been a great example to me for her great energetic attitude about every project she has ever encountered. Her positive spirit about the solutions to today's problems and her wisdom in finding options to the problems are well suited to this new endeavor of State Board of Education. She knows the various options to good education and this outside the box thinking will help the State Board of Education find solutions to provide Texas with the best public education in the nation.

Donna is the most spectacular of people. She convincingly sets people at ease, because they understand she genuinely cares about their opinions as well as the issues she represents. I know of no one who could enter the lion's den that awaits her who could tame the opposition. She has earned her right to be heard by her faithful service to the senate district served by Dan Patrick. Not only did she represent us in the Houston office, but she has lived in Austin to get a closer look at the intricacy of the inter-working agencies. As a parent, she has faced the importance of a quality education for her family. While I have endorsed the prior occupant and appreciated her diligence, I am excited to see Donna take up the burden.

I have worked with Donna since 2009, and I am still amazed by her steadfastness to accomplish both tasks she is given and those she takes on herself.
